John Finneran is a graduate of Siena College, where he earned a BBA, George Washington University where he earned an MA in accounting/tax. His early professional experiences included work at the accounting firms Price Waterhouse and KPMG. In addition to being a certified public accountant, John’s career included serving as Senior VP and CFO for The Edison Mission Group (“EMG”) in California, CFO and Treasurer of Dominion Energy in Virginia, and VP and Treasurer of Potomac Capital Investment Corporation in Washington, DC.
John is currently the Chairman, CEO, and Managing Member of the Finneran Family LLC. Among the Group’s holdings is the Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast – a multi-award winning Inn located near the USMA at West Point.
He finds time to volunteer and is a director of Access: Support for Living. He also serves on the Boards of his alma mater, Siena College, and the Association for Lodging Professionals. In addition, he is the President of the Empire State Bed and Breakfast Association (New York) and serves on the Board of the Hudson Valley Lodging Association.
John and his wife, Dena, have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren, John and Dena keep themselves busy with their 2 dogs and a cat. When he finds the time, John has been known to sneak in a round or two of golf or watch his beloved Giants, Yankees, and Rangers…
